From a breeder
who’s been there

Beverly Servi breeds cow horses and reining horses from a small band of proven mares. She owns Bet Hesa Boon, the #1 Freshman Sire of 2024, and his dam, Flo N Blu Boon.

The breeder

Beverly Servi

Beverly didn’t grow up with horses. She grew up wanting them, and dreamed of foaling out mares and raising extraordinary horses.

She researched bloodlines and stayed away from what everyone else was breeding, because she wanted a program of her own. Finding the mares she was looking for took a decade: lost foals, crooked legs, mares that would not settle, and hundreds of thousands of dollars. She came close to quitting. She stuck with it. The foals of her two foundation mares have now earned more than $1 million, and three of their sons stand at stud.

Today she owns a few top-notch mares, stands Bet Hesa Boon at Oswood Stallion Station, and handles the stallion side herself, down to answering every message and email that comes in.

What she breeds for

Athletic, colorful and great minded

Her words for the goal she started with, and still breeds toward.

01

Built to work

Big bone, a broad chest and a big hindquarter, on excellent conformation. A horse that can hold up to the cow horse and reining pens.

02

Color and presence

A striking look. Roans run through the program: Flo N Blu Boon is a blue roan, Bet Hesa Boon a bay roan and Metallic Train a red roan.

03

A great mind

A good mind, a good demeanor and longevity, which buyers look for as much as a pedigree. So does she.

“There is no better feeling than that true connection with a horse.”
